One of the new features of Apple Intelligence, the set of functions with Apple artificial intelligenceis the ability to generate intelligent summaries of the messages users receive and display them in notifications.

Recently, a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared an experience in which his ex-partner messaged him to end the relationship. Apple Intelligence summarized the content of the message in a notification that said: “You are no longer in a relationship; “He wants his belongings from the apartment.”

The publication generated a great impact on the platform, reaching more than 58,000 likes and being reposted more than 2,000 times. The user who shared the story claimed that it was a real event, which drew even more attention from other users on social media.

The X user posted a screenshot, apparently from his iPhone, showing the notification of a message sent by his ex-partner, who communicated his decision to end the relationship.

Apple Intelligence processed the content of the message and generated an automatic summary, presenting it in the notification somewhat crudely: “You are no longer in a relationship; “He wants his belongings from the apartment.”

The way the message was summarized caught the attention of users, as the notification turned out to be direct and without subtleties, which generated various reactions on social networks.

The person noted that this had happened on his birthday and several users offered him messages of encouragement. “Yesterday was also my birthday!!! “I am very sorry that this happened to you, friend,” they commented.

The user decided to delete the original post with the screenshot and explained his reasons, stating: “After much thought, I decided to value privacy over publicity and deleted the original tweet. I ask all media outlets to remove the articles or censor the names. “It’s an emotional time and I think breakups should be processed privately.”

According to Apple, activation will be available within a few hours of signing up for the waitlist, although times may vary. In addition, it is required to have at least 4 GB of free storage on the iPhone to use this function.

It should be noted that Apple Intelligence is specifically compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max models, and the iPhone 16 line.

  • Notification summaries

According to Apple, notifications will be presented more intelligently. Instead of displaying the complete content of the received message, a summary will be displayed so that the user can better understand the information.

This set of features will allow users to edit texts faster and more efficiently. Thanks to their improved language capabilities, they will be able to summarize an entire conference in seconds, generate an abbreviated version of a long chat thread, correct the spelling of a text and even improve its tone.

With OpenAI’s ChatGPT integration into Siri and Writing Tools, users will enjoy a richer experience without needing to switch tools. Siri will be able to use ChatGPT to respond to certain requests, such as questions related to photos or documents. Additionally, the Compose feature in Writing Tools will allow you to create and illustrate original content from scratch.

Users will have control over the use of ChatGPT and will be consulted before sharing any personal information. Apple announced that “additional functions will be added in the coming months.”
