Healthy habits in the shopping cart

This data, collected in the I Radar SaluDiable, the survey prepared by Dia to analyze the eating and consumption habits of Spanish households, confirms the relevance that the origin of food and that it is seasonal has for households. Furthermore, according to the study, 3 out of 4 customers recognize that thanks to the proximity of Dia and a complete, varied assortment that focuses on fresh products, they can access a healthy diet that would otherwise be more complex for them to acquire.

“Fresh local and seasonal products are cheaper and, being at their best point of ripeness, tastier. Planning the menus, preparing the shopping list, and prioritizing fresh, high nutritional density foods helps us maintain a varied and balanced diet and, in addition, get the most out of the home budget,” affirms Jaume Giménez, CEO of Nutritional Coaching and nutritional advisor at Dia.

In addition to these recommendations, the expert remembers that when it comes to following good eating habits, “the key is knowing how to choose.” “Another ally for our diet and our pocket are prepared, canned or frozen products.
